FCTHP will be doing big things in 2021, not the least of which is moving a historic building in South Frankfort to make way for historic First Corinthian's new fellowship hall/community center! The Trust will be paying for this project with its own funds, so if you would like to support this project, please consider making a donation.
Excerpt from FCTHP letter to ARB -
Earlier this year, we became aware of the plans Reverend Whitlock and First Corinthians Church have for a new Community Center and Counseling Facility. We recognize the community support for developing such a facility. Their plans are restricted, however, by the historic house located at 216 Murray.
In this unique instance the Trust does not wish to see this important project be at odds with the historic preservation objectives of the community. We recognize that this church congregation was relocated from its historical location on Mero Street by urban renewal in the 1960s. The Church constructed new facilities in the residential neighborhood familiar to many of its parishioners. We appreciate the Church’s commitment to staying in South Frankfort.
